U add color to my life...

My "U add color to my life" card is inspired by this week's CAS(E) this Sketch! challenge. The sketch they provided is awesome and it kept me thinking the moment I saw it :) Well thinking always result in something productive :)

So, to create this card.... I first thought about things that are linked up together or are used in coordination and wohooo!!! I got this idea of tools used in canvas painting :)
Rest was easy, since I am also into sketching it is pretty easy for me to draw. So I hand drew the paint brush, color pallet, canvas and paint tube, colored it with my crayola markers, and cut them with my crafting scissors.

I then placed these as per the sketch and finally added the sentiment :)

I want to play this for CAS(E) this Sketch - Challenge #17

It was fun playing with colors :)

You have grown...

"You have grown" card has been inspired by this week's Just Add Ink challenge :) This card is designed based on the sketch and with a theme of how quickly the kids grow from one birthday to another.

To create this color I used coordinating card stocks and made the rulers that indicate the change in height ;)
It was fun creating this card.

I want to play this card for this week's sketch challenge at

Hope you enjoy my card.

Silver lining...

My "Silver lining" card is inspired by this week's challenges at CAS-ual Friday's, Less is more :)

To make this card the first thing that came to my mind was the sentiment "Every cloud has a silver lining" meaning to say there is a always something good underlying :)

So I made a cloud stencil n then shaded it using my blue "Ink it up" ink, also i used yellow  red ink to create sun rays. I also used silver glitter to create a silver lining :) as per "CAS-ual Friday's" challenge and  also as per the "Less is more" challenge of paper piercing, I pierced the sun rays to add more character to it.

I want to play it for the following challenges -

1. Less is more Week 108- PAPER PIERCING

2. CAS-ual Friday's CFC91 - HI HO SILVER

Bright happy birthday...

My "Bright happy birthday" card is inspired by this week's MUSE  and Craft Card Makers challenge :) I was soooooo, influenced by the red color of the flowers and the word bloom that I decide to make this card.

Making this card was easy, I used a white card stock for the card. Then I used my Scappy Cat - garden wood stamps to stamp the flowers with archival black ink and the leaves using green "Ink Up" pigment ink.
The flowers were then colored using Crayola Markers :) and finally sentiment was stamped. Border was created by hand making small dashes giving it a stitched effect.

I want to play it for

Hope u enjoy my card :)

Let's Play

"Let's Play" card is dedicated to all the baseball fans :) I have created this card by the inspiration from two different challenges put forth by Paper players & Casology for this week.

Creating this card was easy, I hand drew the shapes of ball, bat and glove, then cut & colored them. Stuck them on my card stock using foam dots. I also created a border for my card matching the baseball bat n glove :). Hope you like my card.

I want to play this card for the following challenges -

Write your own destiny...

My "write your own destiny" card is inspired by this week's CAS(E) this Sketch!
So the first thing I thought about while creating this card was two things that go together, n since I have some feathers in my stash so I thought a Quill n ink would go perfectly together.

To make ink bottles I did some free hand drawing of the two bottles n then cut them. I shaded them using my ink dauber n black ink. The ink splash was made with acrylic black paint n then cut out.
I wrote the sentiment with my calligraphy pen as calligraphy is done by quill :)

I want to play this card for CAS(E) this Sketch! Challenge #16

It was fun creating this card :)

Best always...

My "Best always" card is inspired by this week's Seize the birthday & Just Add ink challenge  :)
The card follows the sketch and the POP of flower indicates that we find best always for a friend. To make this card I followed a black n white theme with pink for the friend.

To make this card, I used my Scrappy Cat- Garden Wood stamps to stamp the flowers with archival ink. Then cut our the flowers, colored them in grey black n pink. Finally stuck them following the sketch. I popped out few flowers with foam dots :) especially the pink flower for my friend.

The challenges for which I want to play this for is -

Burning up...

My "Burning up" card is my second card for the day. Sometimes, you just can't stop making cards after you are flooded with ideas. Thanks to CASology's challenge this week.

Creating this card is very simple :), all u need is red n yellow card stock to represent the theme flame. But first I got the idea of sentiment in my head n then created this card :)
To make the flames I hand drew them on both yellow n red card stock n cut them using my crafting scissors. I did not follow a pattern in making the flames, it was just random :)

I stuck them on my white card stock n made this card :) I stuck the puffy heart indicating "love" to complete the sentiment.

The challenge put forth by CASology week # 32 - FLAME

Had fun as usual :)

Calm after storm...

Yesterday I never got a chance to make a card :( but the ideas never stop...
So today, I executed my idea which is inspired by this weeks Dynamic Duos challenge.

I created this card using the color scheme as per the challenge. I then drew n cut clouds from back n white card stock n lightning from white card stock. The blue card stock in the background indicates the sky.

I want to play this card for Dynamic Duos - Challenge #40 :
Black tie color combo with optional theme of clouds

It was fun making the card, hope u enjoy it too :)

Birthday wishes...

Here's another card for today, my "Birthday wishes" card is solely inspired by this week's MUSE challenge.

I have created this card using different layers of green n mauve colored card stock. The background also have a white embossed card with green ink rubbed over embossing folder before running it through the Cuttlebug.
I then made flowers using my rub-ons, cutting their shapes out n sticking them with foam dots. The sentiment is finally stamped to finish the card.

50th Birthday

My today's creation is an inspiration from the challenges put across by CAS-ual Fridays and Seize the Birthday blogspots :)

I combined the color n the sketch challenges put across by the above blogs respectively. So here's my Card

I have embossed the grey card stock using my cuttlebug. I created a book from an old magazine, inked up the edges to give an old look. Rest I stamped the leaves n sentiment use Archival black ink.

The challenges are
1. Seize the Birthday #6 -masculine birthday

2. CAS-ual Friday's CFC90 - Black White Plus 1

Embossed birthday...

As the name suggests, I have dedicated this card solely to husband who gave me a new tool in my crafting space, my own cuttlebug :) this is such a wonderful Valentine day for me.

More so, the inspiration for the card came from two different challenges posted at the blogs. It was fun combining these challenges n creating the embossed card using my first and only embossing folder.

So to create this card I used the card stock following the color challenge n layout from the other challenge.

The challenges for which I want to play this card are

1. Case Study challenge #128

It was fun making the card :)

Bee mine...

Today is a special day, of course it's Valentine... But for me it's special because my husband made it so. And guess what he got me for Valentine, a "Cuttlebug" my own cuttlebug :) Oooooo! I am so happy.
I am so excited to create great cards with this new device in my crafting space.

Thankfully, my cuttlebug came with a sample embossing folder... so thought why not incorporate a little something from my cuttlebug into my card.

So here it is, my "Bee mine" card inspired by (CAS)E this Sketch! challenge for this week.

For this card I created beehive by cutting out hexagons in my card, giving it a window effect. In the background I stuck the yellow card stock, that hows through. I then added a few rub-on flowers. A bee run-on was stuck on a scrap card stock n then cut out giving it a raised effect. I also added a thin strip of embossed white card stock to add some character n welcome my new tool ;)

I want to play it for (CAS)E this sketch! Challenge #15

Birthday Bloom...

Paper crafting is soooooo addictive... this is my second post for the day. I just couldn't resist making a new card after seeing the challenges at The Paper Players and Freshly made sketches :)

Of course I had to combine these two challenges to create my "Birthday Bloom"

In order to make the flower I cut out semi circle from my card stock n then cut out the petals in each semi circle. I curved them to add a little character n place them one over the other as per the size.
Rest the pattern of leaves n color of the horizontal strip were inspired by color challenge n sketch.

I finally added a brad, some rhinestones same as the color challenge and finally stamped the sentiment.

I have used the color challenge n sketch of the following two challenges

1. Freshly made sketches #73-sketch by Jen B

2. The paper players challenge #132- Color challenge from Ann

Hope u enjoy my card :)

Something messy...

My "Get well soon" card is inspired by this weeks challenge at
Simon says Stamp & Show : Something Messy

Whether distress stains or paint splatter, tearing up a sheet of paper or a layered collage, mist or a glitter burst - let’s get a bit messy this week! It is the first week of March, and they say this month starts like a lion right? So let’s roar and make some creative mess!

So, my creative mess started with selection of a few different colors of acrylic paints. In my card the background was created using a simple technique. I took an A-4 sheet, folded it into half, then on one half I randomly added few drops of different solid acrylic paints. I folded the other half of paper over n gently rubbed from above with my finger.
The color drops mix up in a beautiful pattern n texture. Let it dry n then paste it on a card stock to create this beautiful card. I then drew n cut the branch n birds that forms the forefront of the card.

Hope u enjoyed my technique n the card :)

You rock...

It's been long... I have finally got the time to make another card :) Though I was inspired almost every day :) by the challenges put across the blogs, I never got a chance.

This card is inspired by this weeks challenge by Less is More- Week 106 One layer & MUSIC

It's that certain week once more where our challenge is to make a One Layer CardThis time we would like you include some reference to MUSIC

So I thought about making something that immediately flashed my mind once I saw the word music. So here it is "a Guitar"
I cut my card stock in the shape of a guitar, used water colors to color it n finally added the sentiment 'u rock' that floats from the guitar like music notes.

It's a single layer card with music as the theme :) hope u like it :)

Moxie Happy Birthday :)

This birthday card has been triggered by the Tuesday Trigger image put up this week at Moxie Fab World and also the color challenge at Dynamic Duos :)

I created this card by cutting out a window in my white card stock. I then cut thin strips of pink card stock which were laid in criss-cross fashion to create a window. I made flowers of lace n ribbon n twines of blue card stock, the sentiment was then stamped. This card is inspired by the crossed heart n colors as seen on the trigger image.

It was fun making the card. Hope u enjoy it too :)

The challenge I want to play this card for is Moxie Fab World- Tuesday Trigger

I also want to play this for this week's Dynamic Duo Challenge #39 - Pink Pirouette and Pool Party
